Teen-Aid OAPP Grant Results

The Teen-Aid junior high program, through a grant study from the Office of Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Programs since 1987, has been able to shift attitudes and intentions to be sexually active between 5 and 15% by using the three-week program. The data indicated that the program had statistically significant effects on a number of areas associated with teen sexual involvement.

Gary Crum, Ph.D., M.P.H., former head of Title X programs shared his view of the future and his view of Teen-Aid: “ I came to hold a stronger and stronger belief that the best solution for the teenage pregnancy problem was the effective teaching of sexual abstinence . . . Me, My World, My Future, developed by Teen-Aid, is just such an effort, and has my highest recommendation.” Teen-Aid is dedicated to continuing the implementation of solutions that will truly help America’s youth.
