This booklet summarizes the seminars on prevention sponsored by Teen-Aid in 1993. At these seminars experts addressed various elements of directive abstinence education: What is it? What are the objections and answers to those objections? How can these programs be implemented at a local level? What is an effective abstinence school board policy? The booklet also presents a community service delivery model that focuses on abstinence.

Prevention in Focus highlights some of the conclusions of the OAPP/Teen-Aid Research project (1987 to 1992). This booklet provides a sorely needed strategy and policy approach for abstinence education.
